The Washington Flanders Club (WFC) is the DC area chapter of "Vlamingen in de Wereld" (VIW), a Belgian organization representing Flemish people all over the world. WFC functions as a circle of friends sharing a connection with Flanders, or an interest in Flemish culture, cuisine, sports, current events, etc. Members are invited to take advantage of our lineup of activities, including nature hikes, museum visits, Flemish and Dutch literature discussions, and an annual New Year's celebration. Families with young children particularly enjoy events like our annual Easter egg hunt and Summer barbecue. Being able to speak Flemish is not a requirement!

Our popular monthly "Tussen Pot en Pint" get-together usually takes place on the first Friday of the month (except January, July and August), at a variety of venues, including members' homes. 2019 is WFC's 25th anniversary year. Over the past quarter century, for many newcomers to the DC area, a Pot en Pint gathering has been the gateway activity to membership. Come and check us out over a Belgian beer! Annual dues are $40 for individuals and $50 for families. Contact us with questions at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
