The Washington Flanders Club (WFC) is the DC area chapter of "Vlamingen in de Wereld" (VIW), a Belgian organization representing Flemish people all over the world. WFC functions as a circle of friends sharing a connection with Flanders, or an interest in Flemish culture, cuisine, sports, current events, etc. Members are invited to take advantage of our lineup of activities, including nature hikes, museum visits, Flemish and Dutch literature discussions, and an annual New Year's celebration. Family-friendly good times include our annual Easter egg hunt and Summer barbecue. Our membership includes both Flemish-and English-speakers, and we all enjoy a good Belgian beer now and then.

Our popular monthly "Tussen Pot en Pint" get-together usually takes place on the first Friday of the month (except January, July and August), at a variety of venues, including members' homes. For the past 25 years, Pot en Pint gatherings have been the gateway activity to membership for many a DC area newcomer.
